brought in another $40. Dish cloths, potholders, and scrubbers tallied an additional

The motion was approved.
IV. Old Business
th
A.Tours- Julie reported that on May 9 the Center traveled to the Minnesota
Masonic Heritage Center for a rendition of the Life and Music of Frank Sinatra.
th
The trip was a few short of being full. On June 5 a group will travel to the
th
Fagan Fighters Museum in Granite Falls. This tour is sold out. July 17 will offer
a trip to the Willmar Country Club for lunch and a Green Lake boat tour. August
th
will feature two trips. The first will be on August 14 and will travel to Lake
Lillian and the Dykstra Gardens while the second will be the annual trip to the
thth
state fair on August 30. The Center will be offering a September 18 Mystery
Tour which will be advertised soon.
B.Update on Programs- September reported that the May Fellowship Dinner will
feature roast beef commercials and has 30 people registered. The movie for May
was “Only the Brave” with “Risk Takers” as the second movie. Both movies
were good. Red Hats and Friends are planning a July activity at the Center. Book
Clubs are still doing fine. “The Post” is the feature movie for June and “The
th
Quartet” is the bonus movie. Kayaking events will be held on June 12 & June
th
20.
V.Business
A.Review of Murder at the Zoo- After the rescheduling of the event, it turned out
pretty well with over 90 tickets sold and a net profit of $503. The show was
good but the expectations of the show’s producers can be difficult to work with
at times. The board felt that we should wait awhile before presenting another
show of this kind.
th
B. Mass Shooting Event- Eric Killian will give a presentation on July 25 on what
to do in case of a mass shooting.
C. T-Shirt Idea - September has someone that might be willing to create an image
incorporating activities at the Center for the purpose of creating a t-shirt design.
She thought it might be around $200 to have him create the image. September
will offer him something to create an outline of this image.
th
D.Concert- September reported that a concert is set for Saturday, September 15.
th
It is called “Legends of the 20 Century” and features music from Brenda Lee,
Bobby Vee, Dion, Buddy Holly, Richie Valens and the Big Bopper. The band
performing is called “Hard Day’s Night”. We will pay $2500 instead of doing a
split. The board has decided to charge $20 per ticket for an advanced sale and
$25 at the door.
E. Other- The monthly drawing for Fellowship Dinner tickets went to Shirley
Meece.
VI. Adjournment: Kay made a motion to adjourn at 11:03 am with a second from Judy.
The motion passed.
The Senior Advisory Board’s next regularly scheduled business meeting will be held on
th
Monday, June 25 , at 10:00am.
