08-15-2017 POLMHutchinson Police Commission Minutes The Hutchinson Police Commission held a meeting on Tuesday August 15, 2017 at the Hutchinson Police Station. Present at the meeting were Commissioner Jo Piehl , Commissioner Curtis Hughes, and Chief Daniel T. Hatten Call the Meeting to Order: The meeting was called to order by Commissioner Curtis Hughes at 5:10 p.m. Approval of Agenda: Commissioner Curtis Hughes asked if there were any changes to the agenda. A motion was made by Commissioner Piehl to accept the agenda as written, seconded by Commissioner Curtis Hughes. The motion carried unanimously. Approval of Minutes: Commissioner Curtis Hughes asked the Commission to approve the minutes from the June meeting. Motion was made by Commissioner Piehl, seconded by Commissioner Curtis Hughes to approve the meeting minutes. Motion carried unanimously. Staffing Issues: Chief Hatten informed the Police Commission the hiring process for Part-time Hospital Security candidate Blaise Stanley been complete without issue and he had begun his field training. Chief Hatten informed the Police Commission the hiring process for Part-time Communication Specialist candidates is proceeding without issue at this time. Chief Hatten informed the Police Commission the field training process for Part-time Hospital Security Officer Matt Pysick had been completed without issue. Chief Hatten informed the Police Commission the hiring of Part-time Police Officer Mark Hanneman had been completed without issue. Union Update: There were no additional updates at this time. Items from the Floor: There were no additional updates at this time. Adjourn: Motion was made by Commissioner Curtis Hughes, seconded by Commissioner Piehl to adjourn the meeting.
