After some troubleshooting we found that the gas metering valve was stuck. We removed the valve and found several parts that were worn. I contacted the Meggit company to find the overhaul kit. Their response was this valve is no longer supported and no available parts. This valve has been in the unit since 1997. 1 received quotes from two valve manufactures that can fulfill the operational requirements and are accepted by GE. The Meggitt company quoted their Whittaker valve at a total cost of $47,103 plus tax.
