11-14-2016 POLMHutchinson Police Commission Minutes The Hutchinson Police Commission held a meeting on Monday November 14, 2016, at the Hutchinson Police Station Present at the meeting were Chairperson Todd Brandel, Commissioner Curtis Hughes, and Chief Daniel T. Hatten Call the Meeting to Order: The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Brandel at 5:00 p.m. Approval of Agenda: Chairperson Brandel asked if there were any changes to the agenda. A motion was made by Commissioner Hughes to accept the agenda as written, seconded by Chairperson Brandel. The motion carried unanimously. Approval of Minutes: Chairperson Brandel asked the Commission to approve the minutes from the October 2016 meeting. Motion was made by Commissioner Hughes, seconded by Chairperson Brandel to approve the meeting minutes. Motion carried unanimously. Staffing Issues: Chief Hatten informed the Commission conditional offers were made to two candidates for the Part-time Hospital Security Officer position. Candidate Joel Hennager accepted the offer and is currently in the background process. Candidate Greg Howell declined the offer. Chief Hatten informed the Commission his staff would be interviewing the remaining candidates for the position of Part-time Hospital Security. Union Update: Chief Hatten informed the Commission contract negotiations with the police officers work group has been reschedule to begin in December. Items from the Floor: Chief Hatten updated the Commission on the Body -worn Camera Program. Adjourn: Motion was made by Commissioner Hughes, seconded by Chairperson Brandel to adjourn the meeting.
