Meeting Agenda
November 10th. 3:30pm
Voting for new secretary
Jon will fill in on a temporary basis until the secretary position has been established.
A briefing on the response for the call for artists
So far only 2 responses have been received.
Continue to contact artists that would have an interest in this by reviewing last year's mailing and follow
up.
Existing sculptures
Make sure your assigned sculptures have pamphlets available at their locations
People's Choice award for existing
Be sure to share sculptures on Facebook and encourage additional people to vote.
More new pictures should be posted of rotating and permanent sculptures to create a buzz on social
media
Missing snail on sculpture
The snail still hasn't been replaced on the sculpture by the library. A comment was made that the artist
is coming up with a new method to attach
Winter project
A discussion took place on incorporating the sculpture stroll in winter activities. Some of the ideas were:
-Cross country skiing
-Snowmobiling
-Fat tire bikes
-Hidden medallion
-Selfies with sculptures
-We agreed on having a photo contest where people would take fun pictures with the sculptures. We
agreed on the idea and recommended that $100 and $501st and 2nd place awards determined by the
commission might generate some enthusiasm and $25 for the most publicly liked. Mary will talk to the
Ambassadors to get this OK'd.
The meeting was then adjourned.
Next Meeting
December 8 at 3:30 at City Hall
