Airport Commission Minutes
Members present: Ross Peterson, Steve Hahn, Dave Skaar, Cheryl Dooley, Doug McGraw, Mayor Gary Forcier
Members absent: None
Others Present: John Olson, City of Hutchinson; Tom Ashenfelter, ASI; Others present: Tim Miller
Meeting called to order at 5:30 p.m. There was a quorum of members present.
1. Approve August 25, 2016 Minutes
Motion made by Forcier, second by Hahn to approve minutes. Unanimous approval
September 15, 2016 Meeting Notes
No motion necessary.
2. Airport Commission
Ross Peterson (to 09/17, second full -tern) Steve Hahn (to 09/17, first partial term)

3. Hangars All hangars are full.
Questions were raised as to the status of George Lhotka & Bill Daniels hangars.
4. FinanceBudut
a) Airport financial statements — Report attached
• September 2016 (updated, unaudited) 65.2% budget used, 75.0% of year expired
5. Operational Issues (Open Proiects)
a) 2014/2015 AIP Project Update (Runway, taxiway, apron rehab) — City staff finished and submitted
the final credit application. The Engineer has the closeout report ready to go. Hopefully MnDOT can
get information back in a timely manner so the grant can be closed out before the end of this calendar
year.
b) 2017 AIP Projects
To accumulate necessary FAA grant, there will be no project in 2017.
c) 2018 AIP Projects
Hangar site preparation project will be addressed in 2018.
6. Other Discussions & New Business
a) Concrete repair by the A/D building and maintenance hangar was finished. No more `trip' edges.
b) Heater for the Jet A tank was replaced.
c) Lighting for the parking lot on south side of Hangar #1720 will be installed soon. Some work was
done on it today.
d) Question was raised regarding whether flight pattern should be set at 800 or 1,000'. Olson will talk to
Airport Engineer about this.
At 6:10, a motion to adjourn was made by Dooley, second by Hahn. Unanimous approval.
