Alderman Johnson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. .` WHEREAS, Monica Madden, Employee for the City of Hutchinson, has left her job in the City Clerk's office, and WHEREAS, this individual has devoted time and talent to the service XKXKM to the City of Hutchinson at little personal reward to herself, and NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City of Hutchinson does hereby commend and thank Monica Madden for her service and help, and the City Council appreciates the work done on behalf of the City. Mayor Rolfe opened the Hearing Publication # 883 at 8:30 P.M. for 1964 Street Improvement. 26 property owners were present. Engineer Wilson gave a summary of the project and estimated costs. Questions were asked in regard to costs of the entire project or going ahead with part of the project. Costs were dicsussed of certain steps of the project. Hearing closed. Discussion on project. Thereupon: Alderman Stearns introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 3306 RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT AND PREPARATION OF PLANS WHEREAS, a resolution No. 2399 of the City Council adopted the 25th day of May, 1964, fixed a date for a council hearing on the proposed improvement of the following streets: STREET N. Grove St. Jorgenson St Lewis Ave Selchow Ave Thomas Ave m Washington Ave Selchow Ave Lake St Hassan St Dale St TO Terminus Century Ave Larson St Jorgenson St Lake St by the construction of subbase, curb and gutter, and bituminus mat and this report was received by the City Council on May 25, 1964. AND WHEREAS-.;� ten days' published notice of the KIK hearing through two weekly publications of the required notice was given and the hearing was held thereon on the 8th day of June, 1964, at which all persons desiring to be heard were given an opportunity to be heard thereon, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUTCHINSON: 1. Such Improvement is hereby ordered as proposed in the council Resolution No. 2299 adopted XXX May 25, 1964. 2. Charles Wilson is hereby designated as the engineer for this improvement. He shall prepare plans and specifications for the making of such improvement. Rannow from 1961, thisamount to be paid by the Park Board. Mayor Rolfe referred to a letter from the M & St. L R.R. requesting permission to replace the old depot with a mobile home. Engineer Wilson was asked to send the R.R. a letter thanking them for their interest, and explaining the City TrailerOrdinance. Discussion on the trailer houses in the City of Hutchinson. City Attorney Schantzen was asked to write a letter to trailer house owners asking them to move into Trailer Courts or get a permit and pay a fee. Alderman Hanson made a motion to refer to the Planning Commission a request for a NO PARKING sign on Pishney Lane. Alderman Johnson seconded the motion of Alderman Hanson, and upon vote being taken, carried. Engineer Wilson reported on Jefferson Street. The surface of the street had been broken up and bladed ready for oiling. Many complaints had been received because of the dust. The City Street Department put oil on the street to settle the dust. Jeferson Street is a County State Aid road. Maintenance XXXX of this Street is X County responsibility. Alderman Stearns introduced Ordinance No. 263 and moved its first reading: ORDINANCE NO. Rn 263 (Texaco Station) AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING ZONING REGULATIONS IN THE CITY OF HUTCHINSON, MINNESOTA The City Council of the City of Hutchinson ordains as follows: Section 1. That Section 5-B (Map) of Ordinance No. 245 be amended so that as amended same shall show as follows: The boundaries of these districts a s shown on the map entitled "City of Hutchinson Zoning Map", which map is hereby made a part of this Ordinance, provided however, (a) That the East Half of Lot Eleven, Block Twelve, North Half of the City of Hutchinson according to the map or plat thereof on file and of record in the Office of the Register of Deeds in and for McLeod County, Minnesota, and the same is hereby designated as and hereby made a part of that District of said City Zoning Map, constituting the "B-3 General Business District". Alderman Johnson seconded the motion of Alderman Stearns to introduce Ordinance No. 263 for its first reading. Upon roll call, all members present voted in favor of Ordinance No. 263, and it was declared passed on its first reading. Alderman Hanson introduced Ordinance No. 263 and moved its second reading: ORDINANCE NO. 263 AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING ZONING REGULATIONS IN THE CITY OF HUTCHINSON, MINNESOTA Alderman Stearns seconded the motion of Alderman Hanson to introduce Ordinance No. 263 for its second reading. Hutchinson Planning Commission MDMTSS The regular monthly meeting of The Hutchinson Planning • COMmission was held at The City Hall on Monday June 15,1964 at 7:30 PM. Members present; Pres. Carlson,Hanson, Hoel, Torgrimson, Tracy and Thompson. Absent; Dr. Schafer. President Carlson called the meeting to order. The minutes of the May 18th meeting were read.Following correction as follows; Line 21 delete " annexation ", and substi. tute " the Preliminary Plat "; Line 33 delete " R.4 ", and sub- stitute " B -I ", the minutes were approved. The memorandum dated May 19, 1964 from City Engineer Wilson relating to his meeting with Mr.& Mrs. Herman Larson and their attorney was read and discussed at length. Agreement was reached that the Planning Commission recommend to The City Council that approval of the Larson Preliminary Plat for the 9 lot layout, as worked out by The City Engineer, be granted, providing that Mr.& Mrs. Larson agree to the following conditions; 1. Annexation of the 180 feet of the Larson home property lying north of Lewis Avenue. 2. Dedication of one rod of ground for street purposes on Lewis Avenue. 3. Agree to be included dm the Lewis Avenue improvement program. 4. Agree to grant easement for storm sewer line,if necessary. The planning Commission discussed the future hiWhway plans, as they relate to the Hutchinson Community. Recommendation was made to The City Council that parking restrictions on Pishney Avenue be put into effect, as a Public Safety measure.
