Warren made a motion to approve the minutes and Harriet seconded the motion. The motion was approved. III. Treasurer's Report: Warren's report was limited as the current month's financials were not yet available. The shotgun shell wreaths and button bouquets are all sold out at this time so sales have been very good. Updated numbers will be available at the next meeting. Judy made a motion to accept the report with a second from Curt. The motion passed. IV. Old Business A. Tours- Julie Jensen reported that the senior trip to attend the state fair was not full but that the weather was excellent. This month's mystery tour on the 24th is sold out along with the October 29th tour to Westminster Presbyterian and Plymouth Congregational churches that includes a stop at a candy store. On November 16th a group will travel to Montevideo for lunch and then on to Dawson to hear a choral group. Don Shelby will be involved. This tour has two seats left. The Old Log Theater will be performing "Life Could be a Dream" on December 11th and this has also been completely filled. The new year has several trips already planned including a February tour to the Chanhassen Dinner Theater to see "Hello Dolly ". On March 19th we will visit Orchestra Hall for "Carousel ", and on May 2nd we will travel to the Minnesota History Center for "The Songs of the Hutchinson's ", a tribute to the music of the Hutchinson brothers. Julie is currently working on a July visit to the Guthrie Theater for their latest version of "The Music Man ". The topic of the numbering system for tour registration was brought up. After much discussion it was decided to start registration at 10:00am. At that time numbers will be handed out to everyone in line in proper order. After the numbers are completely handed out, actual purchasing of the tickets will begin. Warren made the motion to adopt this new procedure. Curt seconded the motion and it was unanimously passed. B. Update on Programs- September reported that the Center is having some success selling tickets for the upcoming concerts on the local radio station. Current programming is going well. The crafters are busy making the wreaths and button bouquets. With the addition of the new sound system in the main programming room, some event times will have to be adjusted to accommodate everyone. The Jackpot Junction fundraiser resulted in a net of $192. The concert featuring the music of the Everly Brothers, that was held earlier this month, netted $1295. V. Business A. Sound System- September informed the board that it will require about $500 to install the speaker platforms in the larger room instead of the smaller space. The system is removable so it can be reinstalled in a different space if that would be required. Curt made a motion which was seconded by Darla that we use funds from the giving program. The motion was approved. B. Free Dance- A free dance will be held on October 2nd to gauge interest for this type of activity. The group discussed the possibility of having donated cookies and bars as an added feature for this dance. C. Annual Reimbursement- September reminded the group of the annual reimbursement from the Senior Advisory Board to the City of $4000 for keeping the Center open on Fridays. Instead of having the City reimburse the group for concert profits and then following up with a reimbursement back to the City, September will just track the revenues that the City has already received from fundraising activities. D. Other- No other business was brought before the board. VI. Adjournment: Warren made a motion to adjourn at 11:40 am with a second from Curt. The motion passed. Our next meeting is scheduled for Monday, October 27th at 10:00 a.m. John McRaith, Secretary
