Regular Meeting.
The regular meeting of the Hutchinson Utilities Commission was held at
the Billing Office on the 10th day of April, 1967 at four o' a lock P. M.
All Commissioners were present; also Supt. Kuiken.
The meeting was called of order by the President and the minutes of the
previous meeting were read and approved as read.
The Commission discussed gas consumption and gas charges for the
Power Plant. The Commission has gone on record stating the Power
Plant will buy 800 MCF daily demand firm gas from the Natural Gas
Division at a cost of $3.25 per MCF demand charge plus 40� per MCF
Commodity charge with an average cost of 50� per MCF at a 100% load
factor.
300 MCF will be used from April 1st at the above price; then
commencing Oe tober 27, 1967 the 800 MCF will become effective.
The following request was directed to North.en Natural Gas
Company:
"Hutchinson Utilities
Commission requests 419 MCF
additional contract
demand to provide increased gas
requirements for 1967
-68 heating season.'

There being no further business, motion was made by Commissioner Filk
and seconded by Commissioner Tracy that the meeting be adjourned.
Motion was unanimously carried.

Special Meeting.
May 1, 1967.
A special meeting of the Hutchinson Utilities Commission was held
on May 1, 1967 at the Billing Office.
All Commissioners were present; also Supt. Kuiken, Ivan Larson and
Mayne Schwarze .
A new gas contract with Northern Natural Gas Company was discussed.
Motion was made by Commissioner Tracy and seconded by Commissioner
Filk to increase the contract by 1200 MCF for a total of 4300 MCF.
Motion was unanimously carried.
(On May 4, 1967 Hutchinson Utilities Commission requested 1200 MCF
additional contract demand for the 1968 -69 heating season -1000 MCF
firm gas to be used at Minnesota Mining & Manufacturing Company
for their makers in processing and 200 MCF to be used for future
residential and commercial customers .firm load. This will bring
the total contract to 4300 MGF.)
There being no further business, motion was made by Commissioner
Filk and seconded by Commissioner Tracy to adjourn the meoting.
Motion was unanimously carried.
