at the Utilities Billing Office on August 12, 1963.
All. members of the Commission were present, also Attorney Comer.

August 30, 1963.
The Hutchinson Utilities Commission of the City of Hutchinson met
at the Utilities Billing office on August 30, 1963.
All members of the Commission were present; also Supt. Kuiken and
Attorney Comer.
R E S O L U T I O N
"RESOLVED, That, whereas, the City Council of the City of Hutchinson

has requested an audit and an examination of the books, records and
affairs of the Hutchinson Utilities Commission by the Public Examiner
for the State of Minnesota in addition to the regular audit made by
the Certified Public Accountants regularly employed by the Hutchinson
Utilities Commission to make the audits required by law, and,
WTIEREAS, the City Council of the City of Hutchinson in the years
1953, 1954 and subsequent years entered into various contracts with
the Carleton D. Beh Company, Buell & Winter, engineers, Hubert E.
Schultz and others in determining the feasibility of establishing a
municipally owned natural gas system, obtaining allotments of natural
gas from the Federal Power Commission,
issuance of bonds and in establishing,
structing a natural gas distribution s
WHEREAS, after the entry into the

ys tern in Hutchinson, and,
contracts acts by the City Council
of the City of Hutchinson an amendment to the City Charter of Hutchinson
was adopted by an overwhelming vote of the voters of the City of
Hutchinson creating the Hutchinson Utilities Commission and placing the
authority to establish, construct and operate a municipally owned
natural gas distribution system in the hands of the Hutchinson
Utilities Corranission, and,
WBETRE.AS, the Hutchinson Utilities Commission was required to
make payments called for by the terms of the contracts previously
entered into by the City Council of the City of Hutchinson, and,
WHEREAS, the examination made by the Public Examiner raises
certain questions regarding the contracts and payments made thereunderg
NOW, TEFRE11ORE, the Hutchinson Utilities Commission does hereby
employ and authorize the Certified Public Accounts regularly employed
to made the audits of the Hutchinson Utilities Commission books and who
or
has been employed to do this work during all times pertinent herein,
Boulay, Anderson, Waldo & Company, to prepare and furnish to the
Public Examiner's office a summary of cash receipts and disbursements
and other entries that may have any bearing on the matter in issue
of the Natural Gas Division of the Hutchinson Utilities Commission
and to further inform the Public Examiner's office regarding any and all
payments to the Carleton D. Beh Company and others and to cooperate in
any other way possible with the Public Examiner's office in arriving at
proper conclusions regarding all matters connected with the examination
as requested by the City Council and having to do with the establish -
ment, construction and operation of the Natural Gas Division of the
Hutchinson Utilities Commission.
The Commission further resolves that the Commissioners, officers
and employees of the Hutchinson Utilities Commission shall and are
hereby directed to cooperate with the Public Examiner's office in
disclosing and developing all necessary pertinent information properly
required for lawful investigation and inquiry by the Public Examiner's
office and personnel.'
Adoption of the foregoing Resolution was moved by Commissioner
Howard P. wade, seconded by Commissioner A. J. Thompson and
unanimously carried by the members of the Commission at a special
meeting of the Hutchinson Utilities Commission held at the billing
of;'ice in the City of Hutchinson on Friday, .August 30, 1963, at 1P.M.

Monthly Meeting
September 9, 1963
The. Hutchinson Utilities Commission of the City of Hutchinson met
at the Utilities Billing Office on September 9, 1963.
All, members of the Commission were present.
Motion was made by Commissioner Thompson and seconded by Commissioner
Quade to issue a check in the amount of $10,000.00 to the Municipal
Electric Plant, this amount representing a partial payment on our note.
The motion was unanimously carried.
Motion was made by Commissioner Quade and seconded by Commissioner
Thompson authorizing the President and Secretary of the Commission
to execute contracts with Northern Natural Gas Company. These
contracts would enable the Natural Gas Division to maintain the same
demand as during the past year, thus resulting in a considerable
savings.
