01-04-1961 HUCM41. REGULAR, MEETING January 41 1961 The Hutchinson Utilities Commission of the City of Hutch- inson, Minnesota, met at the office of Dr. R. I. Sheppard, President, on January 4, 1961. All members of the Commission were present. Minutes of the previous monthly meeting were read and approved. Motion was made by Commissioner Thompson to enter into a contract with Barnard & Burk Consulting Engineers, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, for consulting engineering services. Commissioner Kurth seconded the foregoing motion and, upon roll call, all members of the Commission voted in favor thereof; whereupon Chairman Sheppard declared the motion duly adopted. Motion was made by Commissioner Thompson to charge a minimum of $50.00 towards the installation of a natural gas line to any new home - maximum distance of 100 feet. Motion was made by Commissioner Thompson to issue a check in the amount of $24,618.37 to the L. R. Young Construction Com- pany to cover Estimate #6. Commissioner Kurth seconded the foregoing motion and, upon roll call, all members of the Commission voted in favor thereof; whereupon Chairman Sheppard declared the motion duly adopted. Motion was made by Commissioner Thompson to issue a check in the amount of $20,243.74 to the L. R. Young Construction Com- pany for materials transferred from their inventory to the Natural Gas Division inventory. Commissioner Kurth seconded the foregoing motion and, upon roll call, all members of the Commission voted in favor thereof; whereupon Chairman Sheppard declared the motion duly adopted. Motion was made by Commissioner Thompson to invest $100,000.00 in Treasury Notes which would mature in 190 days. Commissioner Kurth seconded the foregoing motion and, upon roll call, all members of the Commission voted in favor thereof; whereupon Chairman Sheppard declared the motion duly adopted.
