REGULAR MEETING
November 7, 1960
The Hutchinson Utilities Commission of the City of
Hutchinson, Minnesota, met at the office of Dr. R•T.Sheppard,
President, on November 7, 1960.
All members of the Commission were present.
Minutes of the previous monthly meeting were read and
approved .
Motion was made by Commissioner Thompson requesting
Attorney Reyerson to represent the Hutchinson Utilities Com-
mission at the November 14th meeting-, of the City Council; and
to request the Council to notify the Home Gas Company, Inc. to
discontinue the use of the distribution system of propane gas
in the City of Hutchinson and fill their pipes with water.
Commissioner Kurth seconded the foregoing motion and,
upon roll call, all members of the Commission voted in favor
thereof; whereupon Chairman Sheppard declared the motion duly
adopted.
Motion was made by Commissioner Thompson that the Hutchinson
Utilities Commission issue 'Co the L. R. Young Construction Com-
pany Pledge Order #10 in the amount of x$''91,061.30, and to
Buell & Winter Engineering; Company Pledge Order #11 in the
amount of $2,9974-33.
Commissioner Kurth seconded the foregoing motion and, upon
roll call, all members of the Commission voted in favor thereof;
whereupon Chairman Sheppard declared the motion duly adopted.
The following bids were received on a 3/4 Ton Pickup
Truck;

Bid to Hutchinson Utilities Commission on -
1960 Ford Styleside Pickup Truck, long, model, 118" WB,
same as 3/4 ton, 8 Cylinder Motor, Fresh Air Heater,
Rear Bumper Painted , Front and Rear Turn Signals
Price $1,820.50
Less Federal Excise Tax if applicable,
which should be about $100.00
Myron Wigen Chevrolet Co.
A new 1960 Chevrolet 3/4 Ton Pickup 4 speed trans-
mission, with heater, signals, rear bumper, side
carrier mount for spare tire, mud and snow tires on
the rear in light blue color. This pickup listed for
$24845.00, and vie will deliver it to you for . . . . . 1,949.00
Motion was made by Commissioner Thompson to accept the lower
of the two bids, being Plowman Motors.
Commissioner Kurth seconded the foregoing motion and,
upon roll call, all members of the Commission voted in favor
thereof; whereupon Chairman Sheppard declared the motion
duly adopted.
After considering insurance coverafre for all trucks owned by
the Hutchinson Utilities Commission submitted by the Roy J. Eide
Agency, Des Moines, Iowa, Citizens Insurance Agency and Harold A.
Grams Agency, Hutchinson, a motion was made by Commissioner
Thompson to accept the bid of the Grams Insurance Agency (Bids
in Safety Deposit Box).
Commissioner Kurth seconded the f'oregoing motion and, upon
roll call, all members of tr._e Co, ,fission voted in favor thereof.;
whereupon Chairman Sheppard declared the motion duly adopted.
