Call to Order
1. Only agenda item is to plan a Public Arts Information Town Hall Meeting
1. Pick date for workshop
a. Thursday, August 25th — 7:00 PM in the council chambers
2. Agenda
a. 7:00 PM — Introductions and Purpose of meeting, History and Intention of the Public
Arts Commission.
b. 7:10 — 7:30 — Forecast for Public Arts presentation
c. 7:30 — 8:30 — Original objectives from RFQ — initiate discussion
d. 8:30 — 9:00 — Wrap up. Where do we go from here? Invite folks to sign up to be on
our mailing list — email or other; they can be as involved as they want to be going
forward.
3. To -do Items
a. Powerpoint— Presentation to keep us on track — Terry
b. We should have a map available indicating options for public art
1. City staff will work on map
c. Provide handout — objectives and criteria
4. Invitations:
a. People who commented
b. People involved in the initial steering committee
c. Commission needs to invite people to participate — 20 each
d. City Council
e. News Media
5. Other projects we need to work on
a. Police Department Memorial — Terry and Joey
b. Cemetery — Baby Section
c. New Discoveries — Dave Conrad garden memorial
6. Recruiting new members
a. Tom will go off commission in August
b. We should each should suggest a name or two and talk to them
c. Bring your names by August 1 lth or e -mail to Tom.
