Call to Order — Dan Jochum, interim chair
1. Joe Nagel gave us an update on the Police Department Project
2. Update on RiverWalk Concept — we want to set up a date to meet with Scott Wallace and Deb
Zeller to get their input on this possible project.
a. Josh will try to schedule one or both for our August 16th meeting.
3. Saturday, September 8 — we along with Hutchinson Center for the Arts will sponsor an "Art Day"
We received a SMAHC grant to help with this event.
a. Sidewalk chalk art contest
b. Drum group performing
c. It will start near Hardees and end at West River Park
d. Cardboard City to color
e. Free event
£ Other HCA partners will add things
g. Performing artists was a suggestion too...
4. Suggestion for Riverwalk fundraiser — making steppingstones (mosaics) to lay around riverwalk.
People make their own.
5. Downtown Bike Racks discussion — we all agreed it would be a nice way to bring some functional
art to our downtown. We might want to browse around and see what is available -
