04-30-1990 HUCM11-5-- Regular Meeting April 30, 1990 All Commissioners were present; also present were Mgr. Kadrmas and Counsel Prochnow. President Daggett called the meeting to order at 1:00 p.m. The minutes of March 26, 1990 regular meeting and April 2, 1990 special meeting were reviewed. A motion was made by Commissioner Beatty, seconded by Commissioner Cornell to accept the minutes as written. Motion was unanimously carried. The March payables for both entities were reviewed. A motion was made by Commissioner Cornell, seconded by Commissioner Beatty to accept the electric payables in the amount of $1,392,619.04 and gas payables in the amount of $427,801.32 (detailed listing in payables book). Motion was unanimously carried. The 1990 year -to -date (thru March) financial and budget reports were reviewed. A motion was made by Commissioner Beatty, seconded by Commissioner Richards to accept the financial and budget reports. Motion was unanimously carried. The anti -drug policy was reviewed. The policy will be submitted to the union for reviewal with the changes requested by the Commission. Mgr. Kadrmas presented correspondence from McLeod Cooperative Power Association regarding relocating their electric line. After discussion, a motion was made by Commissioner Beatty, seconded by Commissioner Cornell to approve a purchase order to be issued to McLeod Cooperative Power Association to relocate their line at a cost not to exceed $11,400. Motion was unanimously carried. Manager's Report: 1. Presented information on gas task force organization (Midwest Region Gas Task Force Association). A resolution for membership to belong to this organization instead of Minnesota Municipal Utilities Association gas task force will have to be adopted. A motion was made by Commissioner Beatty, seconded by Commissioner Lyke to adopt the resolution for membership to the Midwest Region Gas Task Force Association. Motion was unanimously carried. 2. The May regular meeting will be held on May 21 at 1:00 p.m. // �0 Old Business: None New Business: Commissioner Beatty was contacted by Don Erickson of the Hutchinson Ambassadors regarding new lighted "Welcome to Hutchinson" signs to replace the present wooden signs. Hutch Utilities' cost would be $556.50 per sign. A motion was made by Commissioner Cornell, seconded by Commissioner Lyke to contribute the material and labor to install the new signs. Motion was unanimously carried. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 1:50 p.m. The meeting was reopened at 1:55 p.m. Minnesota Municipal Utilities Association's summer meeting will be held in Brainerd on June 24 -27, 1990. A motion was made by Commissioner Beatty, seconded by Commissioner Cornell authorizing the Commissioners and general manager to attend the Minnesota Municipal Utilities Association's summer meeting.
