01-06-1981 HUCMSpecial Meeting January 6, 1981 A telephone conference was arranged at 10:00 a.m. Attending were President Filk, Mgr. Alexander, Distribution Supt. "Butch" Wentworth, Attorney Rich Peterson and Ruth Hakel. Commissioner Daggett (Sarasota, FL) and Commissioner Tracy (Phoenix, AZ) were contacted by phone. The meeting was called to order for the purpose of reviewing bid evaluations. The bids to be considered were for the loop line. Due to the fact that the sectionalizing switches had not been bid properly, a rebid would be requested. A motion was made by Commissioner Daggett, seconded by Commissioner Tracy to reject the bids for the sectionalizing switches, return bonds and rebid on February 23, 1981 with new specifications. The motion was declared,carried. The bids for one _,2500 KVA transformer were evaluated. Motion was made by Commissioner Daggett, seconded by Commissioner Tracy to accept the bid of Border States Electric due to its efficiency rating, the amount of the bid being $17,135.00. The motion was unanimously carried. The next order of business was to evaluate the cable bids. Motion was made by Commissioner Tracy, seconded by Commissioner Daggett to accept the bid belonging to Burmeister Electric in the amount of $69,058.56 ($1,247.47/M'). The motion was unanimously carried. Motion was made by Commissioner Tracy, seconded by Commissioner Daggett to grant the manager permission to draw -up medical insurance specifications. These bids to be opened on February 23, 1981. Motion was declared carried. Mgr. Alexander stated unit #8 would be started some time during the end of the week. The driving machine is being aligned at the present time.
