09-03-1980 HUCMSpecial Meeting September 3, 1980 All Commissioners were present, also present were Mgr. Alexander and Ruth Hakel. The meeting was called to order by Vice - President Filk at 1:30 p.m. Vice - President Filk opened the meeting with a few remarks concerning the Utilities Commission and its reorganization. He then appointed Mgr., Alexander as acting chairman to conduct the election of officers. Mgr. Alexander proceeded by asking for nominations for President of the Commission. Commissioner Daggett nominated Commissioner Filk for President. A motion was made by Commissioner Daggett, seconded by Commissioner Tracy that nominations cease and the Secretary be instructed to cast a unanimous ballot for Commissioner Filk as President. The motion carried. Commissioner Filk nominated Commissioner Daggett for Vice - President. A motion was made by Commissioner Filk, seconded by Commissioner Tracy that nominations cease and the Secretary be instructed to cast a unanimous ballot for Commissioner Daggett as Vice- President. The motion carried. President Filk dismissed Mgr. Alexander and resumed the chair. On a motion by Commissioner Daggett, seconded by Commissioner Filk Commissioner Tracy was appointed as Secretary of the Commission at a salary of $100.00 a month. The motion carried. On a motion by Commissioner Tracy, seconded by Commissioner Daggett Ruth Hakel was appointed as Assistant Secretary of the Commission. The motion carried. After discussion concerning legal counsel, it was decided to have Counsel Peterson at the next regular meeting. On a motion by Commissioner Daggett, seconded by Commissioner Tracy the official regular meeting date will be the last 1 Monday of each month at 2:00 p.m. In the event that the day is a legal holiday the day following would be the meeting date.
