August 13, 1980
All Commissioners were present, also present were
Ruth Hakel, Ivan Larson and "Bud" Daggett.
The meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m, by
President Quade.
The purpose of the meeting was to view the plans
of the new elderly living quarters which necessitates
changing overhead electrical lines to underground and
some changes in the gas distribution system. The
Commission concurred with the tentative plans.
A motion was made by Commissioner Filk, seconded by
Commissioner Tracy to allow Orville Kuiken to attend
a natural gas seasonal service allocation meeting
held in Washington, D.C. on August 13, 1980. Northern
Natural Gas had asked our Utilities to send a
representative. The motion carried.
A motion was made by Commissioner Filk, seconded by
Commissioner Tracy to authorize Howard Quade to attend
the Minnesota Municipal Utilities Association meeting
in Minneapolis on August 13 & 14, 1980. The motion
carried.
The meeting adjourned at 9:45 a.m.
