11-02-1978 HUCMSpecial Meeting November 2,.1978 All Commissioners were present, also Mgr. Alexander, Rath Rakel and Counsel Peterson. The meeting was called to order at 8:00 a.m. by President Quade. Mgr. Alexander explained that the purpose of the meeting was to discuss the warranty and settlement on the Curtiss-Wright turbine. After discussion on the matter, a motion was made by Commissioner Filk, seconded by Commissioner 'Tracy that the terms of the extended warranty proposed by Curtiss -Wright and that the Rutchinson Rtilities make final payment in the amount of $140,354.24. The motion carried. Other matters of discussion were presented by Mgr. Alexander concerning the buckets for the G.E. stag unit and bids on the cooling tower base. Mgr. Alexander requested that he be allowed to send certain personnel to the General Electric generator school held at Mankato on November 8 & 9, 1978. The Commission gave approval.
