Special Meeting
March 27, 1978
All Commissioners were present, also Mgr. Alexander.
The meeting was called to order at 2:00 P.M. by President
Quade.
The purpose of the meeting was to award bids for the Gas
Main Extension. After reviewing the bids, Associated Consultants
recommended the following:
P & B Constructors low bid on labor. Crane Supply Company
low on 5000' of 6" steel pipe coated with C.T.E., 2 flexible
connectors and 65' of 10" casing.
On a motion by Commissioner Filk, seconded by Commissioner
Tracy and unanimously carried to accept the labor bid belonging
to P & B Constructors.
On a motion by Commissioner Tracy, seconded by Commissioner
Filk and unanimously carried to accept 5000' of 611 steel pipe
coated with C.T.E., 2 flexible connectors and 65' of 10"
casing bid belonging to Crane Supply Company.
The secretary was instructed to return all Bid Bonds and checks
to the unsuccessful bidders.
After discussion, a motion was made by Commissioner Filk, seconded
by Commissioner Tracy and carried that the Hutchinson Utilities
Commission increase their contribution to the City of Hutchinson
by the amount of $60,000.00 for the fiscal year 1978.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at
2:2.5 P.M.
