02-13-1978 HUCMV2 Regular Meeting February 13, 1978 All Commissioners were present, also Mgr. Alexander and Ruth Hakel. The meeting was called to order at 2:00 p.m..by president Quade. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 9, 1978, were read and approved as read. The minutes of the Special Meeting of January 31, 1978, were read and approved as read. The following bids for a one -ton truck were opened: 2 -Wheel 4 -Wheel Trail's End Dodge $5,314.00 $6,744.00 Wm -James Auto (KC $5,372.00 $6,847.50 Wigens Chevrolet Chev $59343.00 $6,744.00 A motion was made by Commissioner Filk, seconded by Commissioner Tracy and carried to accept the bid from Trail's End for a one -ton Dodge cab and chassis as per bid specifications in the amount of $5,314.00. A motion was made by Commissioner Filk, seconded by Commissioner Tracy and carried to pay Associated Consultants for engineering fees in the amount of $1,889.90" After discussion about services rendered by the Vo -'Tech School, a motion was made by Commissioner Filk, seconded by Commissioner Tracy and carried to pay $20.00 for the above mentioned services. Mgr. Alexander played taped telephone calls with Associated Consultants and Curtiss- Wright concerning the repair of the down unit. August was their estimate to have the unit back on the line with a promise to review and come up with a solution of our problem at an earlier date. Mgr. Alexander was instructed to call United Power Association and cite the circumstances concerning the length of time the unit will be down.
