Monthly Meeting.
The regular monthly meeting of the Hutchinson Utilities Commission
was held September 8, 1959 at the office of Dr. R. I. Sheppard.
All Commissioners were present.
Motion was made and seconded to increase the monthly salary of the
following employees%

Motion was made and seconded to pay each employee working the
4 to 12 shift an additional 500f.
Motion was made and seconded to convert the Hilco full flo filter
on #1 to A. by pass, system.
Motion tesamade and seconded to accept the bid from Duluth Filter
Company for tthe followings.

Member Dr. A. J. Thompson introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoptions
A RESOLUTION FOR THE REFUND OF POWER AND
LIGHT CHARGES- MADE TO THE SEWERAGE AND
WATER SYSTEMS OF THE CITY OF HUTCHINSON.
WHEREAS, Charges for power and light furnished by the facilities of
this Commission have been regularly charged to the sewerage and waterworks
systems of said City, and
WHEREAS, This Commission has regularly transferred funds from the
earnings of the light and power plant of the City to other funds of
said City, and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By this Commission that so long as any
of the principal and interest remain due of the $175,000 Water and Sewer
Revenue Bonds of 1959 authorized by resolution of the City Council
of the City of Hutchinson on August 24, 1959, and dated September 1,
1959, all charges made for power and light furnished to the sewerage
and waterworks system of said City shall be refunded upon collection.
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member R. W. Dahl, and
upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof=

and the following voted against the samet None.
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.

WHEREAS,
The City Council of said City proposes to combine the
sewerage
and waterworks systems of the City as one utility and
to issue
$175,000 negotiable coupon revenue bonds payable solely
from the
revenues of said combined utility, and
WHEREAS,
of such
In order to provide sufficient revenues for the payment
bonds it is necessary and expedient that those revenues
be increased
by the reduction of operating expenses therefor, and
WHEREAS,
This Commission has investigated the facts and does hereby deter-
mine and
declare that it is to the best interests of said City that
the operating costs of said combined sewerage and waterworks systems
be reduced by return of the charges made for power and light to said
combined
sewerage and waterworks system.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By this Commission that so long as any

and compared copy of the original minutes of meetings of the Light
and Power Commission of said City duly called and held on September 8,
1959, so far as such minutes relate to the adoption of a resolution
relating to the refunding of power and light charges to the sewerage
and waterworks systems of said City.
