Special Meeting.
A Special meeting of the Light and Power Commission of
the City of Hutchinson was called for August 19, 1953 at 7130
at the office of the President, R. I. Sheppard. All members of
the Commission were present and participated in the meeting.
An agreement for interchange of power between the
Rural Cooperative Power Association (Elk River) and the Light
and Power Commission of the City of Hutchinson was presented
to the Commission.
The motion was made by Commissioner Thompson and
seconded by Commissioner Dahl that the contract, in the form
submitted, be spread on the minutes of the meeting, and it reads
as follows:
Commissioner Thompson moved that the Light and Power
Commission of the City of Hutchinson execute the foregoing
contract, and which contract is subject to approval by the Rural
Electrification Administration, Washington, D. C. as to the
Rural Cooperative Power Association, and that the President and
Secretary be authorized to sign said contract on behalf of this
Commission. Member Dahl seconded the foregoing motion no member
voted againstthe motion, and the motion was declared unanimously
adopted.
Commissioner Dahl moved that a contract be signed with
Buell & Winters, Engineers, Sioux City, Iowa. Same Engineers to
furnish engineering services necessary in connection with the
planning and construction of a Municipal Gas & Distribution System.
The motion was seconded by Commissioner Thompson.
