02-04-1952 HUCMAdjourned Meeting January 12, 1952 The January 10, 1952 adjourned meeting was held at Dr. R. I. Sheppard's office at eight oclock p. m. on January 12, 1952. All commissioners were present, also , R. E. Young, Supt., W. E. Reyerson and Elmer Jensen, attorneys. The contracts for the Electric Service Building were discussed and it was decided that contracts could not be let nor construction started without a permit from the NPA, consequently, no action was taken on the bids. Motion was made and seconded to send Supt.Young and Commissioner Thompson to Washington to try to secure the necessary NPA permit and steel allocations necessary to start construction for the Electric Service Building. The regular monthly meeting of the Light & Power Commission was held at Dr. R. I. Sheppard's office on February 4, 1952 at 7:30 P. m. Commissioner Sheppard, Commissioner Thompson and Supt. Young were present. Commissioner Dahl being absent due to sickness. Due to the fact that the thirty day time limit on the bids for the construction of the Electric Service Building being nearly up, and due to the fact that the NPA has refused our application to start construction, the motion was made and seconded to return all the certified checks to the bidders but not reSect the bids until some future date. The date to be determined by the receipt of NPA permit. Motion made and seconded to reapply to the NP A for a permit to build and use wood for the.roof.
