Due to the fact that the City Council has requested a contribution to the General Fund, a motion was made and seconded to contribute $5,000.00 per month starting December 1, 1950 for the next four months. Due to the fact that all commissioners were unable to attend the regular meeting on December 4s 1950, it was scheduled to be held on Thursday, December 7, 1950. CEt R. W. Dahl, Secretary. December 7, 1950. Regular Meeting. The postponed meeting of the Light and Power Commission was held on December 7, 1950 at R. I. Sheppard's office at 7:30. All commissioners were present, also Supt. Young. The minutes of the last monthly meeting and adjourned meeting were read and approved as read. A motion was made and seconded to order a new addressograph machine at a cost of $735.00. The motion was made by Commissioner Thompson and seconded by Commissioner Dahl - - -- Due to the fact that only $10,OJO.00 is insured in any one bank and it being the desire of the Commission to. establish a reserve, a motion was made and seconded to invest all surplus in Certificates of Deposit in the following banks:. Federal Savings & Loan,Hutcninson, Minnesota. Citizens Bank, Hutchinson, Minnesota. First National Bank, Hutchinson, Minnesota. Any banks in McLeod County willing to accept Certificates of Deposit.
