Dahl, Secretary.— ATTEST; . eppar ., res rEenE. September 5, 1950. Monthly Meeting. The monthly meeting of the Light & Power Commission was held at Dr. R. I. Sheppard's office on September 59 1950. All Commissioners were present; also Supt. Young. The minutes of the last monthly meeting were read and approved. .Member Thompson introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoptions RESOLVED; Whereas L. L. Bipes, now an employee of this Commission in the Municipal Light Plant, Hutchinson, Minnesota, has given oral notice of termination of his employment on September 15, 1950, and Whereas the said L. L. Bipes has requested payment of wages for two weeks' in advance. THAT. The employment of L. L. Bipes be terminated on September 15, 1950, and that such termination be in writing by the written request of said L. L. Bipes, in which the said L. L. Bipes gives written notice of such termination of employment and states that he is no longer an employee of this Commission and that he has no further rights as an employee; and that upon receipt of said written notice the said L. L. Bipes be paid wages two weeks' in advance, and all his rights as an employee terminate on said payment. Member Dahl - seconded the adoption of the foregoing Resolution and upon vote being Laken all members voted in favor thereof and none voted against the resolution and it was declared unanimously adopted.. He will start work immediately. Motion was made and seconded to repair the front of the garage and install a new and wider door. A new white way system was discussed. The Commissioners agreed to work with the Council on the installation of the new system. The Commissioners authorized Supt. Young to travel to Fort Dodge, Iowa. Monthly Meeting. The regular monthly meeting of the Light & Power Commission was held at R. I. Sheppardts office on October 11, 1950 at 7 :30 p.m. All Commissioners were present; also Supt Young. The minutes of the last monthly meeting were read and approved as read. Due to the fact that the Council did not appoint a Commissioner until October 9, the regular meeting of October was postponed until October 11, 1950. R. W. Dahl having been re- appointed by the City Council of the City of Hutchinson, as a member of the Light & Power Commission for ,a six year term and having subscribed to the required oath, the Commission proceeded with the election of officers for the coming year-. Motion was made by Commissioner Thompson and seconded by Commissioner Dahl that all officers who served for the past year be re- elected. Motion carried unanimously, whereupon President Sheppard declared the following to be the officers of the Light & Power Commission for the coming year. R. I. Sheppard President A. J. Jensen Treasurer The motion was made by Commissioner Dahl and seconded by Commissioner Thompson that the Commission call for bids on a new one -half ton pick -up truck, chassis and cab only, with four speed transmission. Bids to be opened at eight o'clock on Wednesday, October 25, 1950, at the Light Plant Billing Office. The motion was made by Commissioner Thompson and seconded by Gommissioner Dahl tp pay $25.00 towards the cost of any under- ground service that is installed -by a customer. The motion was made by Commissioner Dahl and seconded by Commissioner Thompson to purchase a new surge tank to replace the old surge tank at the plant.
