SPECIAL MEETING
MARCH 20, 1957
A special meeting of the Hutchinson Utilities Commission was held on the
aforesaid date at the office of Dr. R. I. Sheppard. All commissioners
were present, tobether with L. S. Winter, representing Buell and Winter
Engineering Company,.
One,,R. W. Scott and One,Lewis Rove,were also present , representing
Cooper- Bessemer Company and Nordberg Manufacturing Company respectively.
The last two persons submitted bids on behalf of their respective com-
panies for the purchase by the Commission of a new generating unit.
After hearing explanations of the bids submitted and discussion concern-
ing the two units, the meeting adjourned.

MARCH 22, 1957
The Hutchinson Utilities Commission met on the above date for the purpose
of further considering the two bids received at the meeting held on
March 20, 1957. All Commissioners were present, together with L.A.
Winter representing Buell and Winter Engineering Company.
After some discussion and deliberation, it was moved, seconded and unani-
mously carried that the bid of Nordberg'Manufacturing Company in the
sum of $366,764.30 be accepeed,isubject to alterations to be subsequent-
ly set forth in writing.
Motion was made, seconded and unanimously carried that the President
and the Secretary of the Commission be authorized to execute on behalf
of the Said Commission a contract for the purchase of the Nordberg
generating unit, copy of which said contract is on file in the office
of the Commission.
The bid of Nordberg Manufacturing Company was accepbda by reason of thhe
fact that it was the lowest and the best bid, the bid of Cooper- Bessemer
Company being $370,915.00.
There being no further business, the meetin adjourned.
