Monthly Meeting
The regular monthly meetinE of the Light & Power Commission
was held on October 31 1955 at 5;00 P. M. The meeting was held
at; the office of Dr. R. I. Sheppard.
All Commissioners were present.
Iviinutes of the last monthly- meeting were read and approved.
A letter, which had been signed by some of the Municipal
Electric Plant employees, was read. This letter asked the
Commission to consider their request for a 44 hour work week.
Motion was made and seconded that their request be given
careful consideration.
Motion was made and seconded that Hugo IIahs be paid the sum
of '9100 for extra services in connection with the gas survey
required in the preparation of engineering data and-exhibits
to be presented before the Federal Power Commission.
Iviotion was made and seconded to issue a check to Cliff Betker
in the amount of X900.00, this beint; part payment on the pump
house contract.
Motion was made and seconded to issue a check to Betker
Construction Company in the amount of ,`'3,060.00 and to E. A.
Pedersen Company in the amount of 900.00. These amounts
representing-; part pal,Ment on contracts.
IiZotion was made and seconded to increase the monthly salar -\T
of Kenneth Krantz from Q235.00 to '9245.00, William Marquardt
from "��"235.00 to 8245.00 and Ruben San.'.�en from x;

lubricating oil for the newly installed Nordber[; Diesel
En` ine. The following; oil companies submitted bids;
The Texas Company, Standard Oil Company and Socony- Vacuum
Oil Company. Socony- Vacuum Company +s bid being the lowest
and their oil appearin`- to meetthe requirements for
lubricating this type of Diesel End °,ine, motion was made
and seconded to place an order with them.
