10-01-1962 HUCM34. 0_ October 1, 1962. Regular Meeting. The regular monthly meeting of the Hutchinson Utilites Commission was held at the office of R. I. Sheppard, President, on October 1, 1962 All Commissioners were present. The following bids were received regarding a heating system for the new Warehouse - Service Building; George A. Clark & ion $1,297.52 Burman- Willmar Company 1,564.54 A. Y. McDonald Manufacturing; Co. 1,815.07 Motion was made by Commissioner Kurth and seconded by Commissioner Thompson to accept the bid submitted by the George A. Clark & Son Company. The motion was unanimously carried. Motion was made by Commissioner Kurth and seconded by Commissioner Thompson to authorize Orville Kuiken, Supt. of the Natural Gas Division, and R. E. Young, Supt. of the Municipal Electric Plant, to purchase necessary burner, material, etc, to convert the boiler in the Light Plant to Natural Gas. The motion was unanimously carried. Motion was made by Commissioner Thompson and seconded by Commissioner Kurth to authorize Orville Kuiken to purchase necessary equipment to convert the heating plant in the futureoffice of the Hutchinson Utilities to natural gas. The motion was unanimously carried. Motion was made by Commissioner Thompson and seconded by Commissioner Kurth to grant a X25.00 raise to Vern Oliver, lineman. Old Present Salary 325.00 350.00 effective October 1, 1962. The motion was unanimously carried. The following bills were allowed; Fred Briggs W. S.
