04-19-1963 HUCM62. Supt. Young and Hugo Mahs were instructed to make studies re- garding the splitting of the load to the Minnesota Mining & Manufacturing Plant. Mr. Gordon Bublitz, Manager cf Farmer's Co -op. Creamery, was in- vited to appear before the Commission at this meeting and discuss the electrical needs at the Creamery. A special meeting of the Hutchinson Utilities Commission was held on April 19, 1963 at the office of Dr. R. I. Sheppard. All Commissioners were present; also D. 0. Comer, Attorney. Motion was made by Commissioner Quade, seconded by Commissioner Thompson to grant the following raises, to be effective May 1,1963: Ralph Young 050.00 per month Webb Exum 550.00 per month Ruth Hak el 50.00 per month Bea Pollard 1 10.00 per month Cordia Rippe 15.00 per month The motion was unanimously carried. Mr. Comer was instructed by the Commission to write to Mr. Severson (Re: Union) inviting him to attend our meeting on Monday, May 13, at 5;00 P.M. Motion was made by Commissioner Thompson and seconded by Com- missioner Quade to take emergency measures regarding the repair of our well and secure the services of Frederickson h, Inc. at a contract price not to exceed $2,250.000 63. C O N T R A C T THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered 'into this 26th day of April, 1963 by and between the Hutchinson Utilities Commission of the City of Hutchinson, Hutchinson, Minnesota, as party of the first part, hereinafter called the Commission, and Fredericksonts, Inc., party of the second part, hereinafter called the Contractor. WIT NESSETH; That the Contractor agrees to furnish and supply all labor, skill, tools, machinery, equipment, materials and other supervision and work necessary to repair the ten (10 ") inch well on the North Side of the Municipal Electric Plant in the City of Hutchinson ( this does not include furnishing a screen) accord- ing to the proposal submitted by Fredericksons t , Inc. dated April 16, 1963 under tIL- following terms and conditions; 1. It is understood and agreed treat tYe Contractor will furnish the statutory bond required by the State of Minnesota. 2. It is understood and agreed that the total cost of the repair will not exceed Two Thousand Two Hundred Fifty ($2,250.00) Dollars. 3. Contractor guarantees that the liner which he will install in the well will not leak for a period of five (5) years. 4. Contractor guarantees to start construction immediately upon execution of this Contract and will complete the repair in the minimum of time required having in mind that the time and the repairs undertaken are on the basis of it being an emergency directly related to the operation of the Municipal Electric Plant itself. 5. Commission shall pay to the Contractor the amount of his itemized statement based upon his proposal for furnishing the work on a time and material basis representing the actual time and material required and including the cost of the bond but with the cost not to exceed Two Thousand Two Hundred Fifty ($2,250.00) Dollars. 6. It is understood and agreed between the parties that part of the problem may be with the screen in the well but that this agreement does not include the installation or the replacement of the screen. Sheppard, President May 6, 1963 Special Meeting. A special meeting of the Hutchinson Utilities Commission met at the office of Dr. R. I. Sheppard, President, on May 6, 1963. All members of the Commission were present. Motion was made by Commissioner. Thompson and seconded by Com- missioner Quade to instruct Attorney Reyersor_ to execute tax abatement forms for the building located at 22 Main St. North, Hutchinson, Minn. The motion was unanimously carried. Motion was made by Commissioner Quade and seconded by Commissioner Thompson to request a withdrawal of $62,900.00 (by check) from our Sinking Fund account in the First National Bank, Hutchinson, Minnesota, so that we will be able to meet our obligation to the Midland National Bank, Minneapolis, Minn.
