10-14-1963 HUCMMonthly Meeting October 14, 1963. A monthly meeting of the Hutchinson Utilities Commission was held on October 14, 1963 in the Hutchinson Utilities Office at 5:00 P. M. All Commissioners were present; also Supt. Young, Hugo Mahs, Orville Kuiken and Ruth Hakel. Motion made by Commissioner Thompson and seconded by Commissioner Quade to increase the salaries of the following office employees $10.00 per month, effective October 1, 1963, and to pay Harriet S'mutka by the month instead of by the hour -- $210.00 per month: Ruth Hakel Ruth Schoettmer Bea Pollard C ord is Rippe The motion was unanimously carried. Motion was made by Commissioner Quade and seconded by Commissioner Thompson to furnish electric energy to Hutchinson Cold Storage at a special rate of .0195 dollars per KW, minimum of 40,000 per month. (Identical agreement as with Hutchinson Creamery.) The motion was unanimously carried. Motion was made by Commissioner Quade and seconded by Commissioner Thompson to appoint D. 0. Comer as the Utility representative on a three man relations board. Motion was unanimously carried. RESOLVED THAT, in accordance with the recommendations of the Superintendent, and after investigation and consideration, the following accounts owing by customers of the Utilities Commission be charged off as uncollectable and as bad debts and that the same be written off as of September 30, 1963, out of the current earnings of the Hutchinson Utilities Commission.
