Regular Meeting
February 20, 1969.
of the Hutchinson Utilities Commission was held
at 3:n0 P. M. in the Hutchinson Utilities Billing
All Commissioners were present; also Supt. Kuiken.
The meeting was called to order by the President and the minutes of the
previous meeting were read and approved as read.
Bids for a digger were received from three companies; namely, Case Power
& Equipment, Chas. Olson & Sons, Inc. and Ditch Witch of Minnesota, Inc.
Upon opening the bids, it was discovered that the Ditch -Witch of Minnesota,
Inc. failed to accompany a bid bond or certified check with its bid, thus
automatically eliminating the bid.

After due discussion, a motion was made by Commissioner Tracy and
seconded by Commissioner Filk to award the bid to the Chas. Olson &
Sons, Inc. Motion was unanimously carried.
Resolved, that the Hutchinson Utilities Commission of the City of
Hutchinson does hereby recommend that the Honorable City Council of
the City of Hutchinson adopt the U. S9A. Standard Code for Pressure
Piping, Gas Transmission and Distribution Piping Systems, a printed
copy of said code being attached hereto and made a part of this
Resolution.
Motion was made by Commissioner Filk and seconded by Commissioner
Tracy to make a contribution to the City of Hutchinson bringing the
total contribution figure to $130,000.00 from the Utilities Commission
for the year ending March 31, 1969. Motion was unanimously carried.

published in the Hutchinson Leader. Bids to be opened March 27, 1969
at 3:30 P. M.. Motion was unanimously carried.

Filk to advertise for bids for insurance on risks of the Hutchinson
Utilities Commission. Call fcr bids to be published in the Hutchinson
Leader. Bids to be opened March 27, 1969 at 2 :00 P. M. at the billing
office located at 22 Main Street North. Specifications available at
the billing office. Motion was unanimously carried.
