12-01-1969 HUCM64. December 1, 1969. Regular Meeting. The regular meeting of the Hutchinson Utilities Commission was held on December 1, 1969 at 3:00 P. M. in the Hutchinson Utilities Billing Of five . All Commissioners were present. The minutes of the regular and special meeting were read and approved as read. Motion was made by Commissioner Tracy, seconded by Commissioner Filk, to advertise for bids for a gas turbine. Call for bids to be published in the Hutchinson Leader. Bids to be opened January 15, 1970 at two P. M. at the billing office located at 22 Main Street North, Hutchinson, Minnesota. Specifications available at the Billing Office. Motion was unanimously carried. Motion was made by Commissioner Filk, seconded by Commissioner Tracy, to advertise for bids for a Trencher and Backhoe for the Electric Division. Call for bids to be published in the Hutchinson Leader. Bids to be opened January 12, 1970 at two P. M. at the billing office located at 22 Main Street North, Hutchinson, Minn. Specifications available at the billing office. Motion was unanimously carried. The f ollowing quotations were received to load and deliver the 15,000 KVA transformer from Rochester and to unload on-pad at Hutchinson, Minnesota: Lambert Trucking Co. - -- $1800.00 to load, $1800.00 to unload. Murphy Trucking Co. - -- $2100.00 to load, ;$2100.00 to unload. On either bid, the Hutchinson Utilities to pay railroad freight. Motion was made by Commissioner Filk, seconded by Commissioner Tracy, to accept the quotation submitted by Lambert Trucking Company. Motion was unanimously carried. Orville Ku ikon. o o co The following resolution was made by Commissioner Tracy, m o seconded by Commissioner Filk and unanimously carfiied : o :3 °o o Resolved , that the community of Hutch ins on is authorized t o o join with other municipalities served by Northern Natural � Gas Company in a "Municipal Utilities Defense Group's and to W n participate with the Group in its intervention in the Federal Power Commission proceedings relating to the application by N Northern to export and import natural gas from Canada(Docket oN o Nos. CP 70- 69,70 -71), to seek to obtain conditions to assure rn C) that American consumers. shall pay only just and reasonable rates under FPC standards for such imported gas; And be it further resolved that the community of Hutchinson is authorized to pay a pro rata share of the Group's expenses up to the initial sum of $1,040.00.
