Regular Meeting
The regular meeting of the Hutchinson Utilities Commission was held
on June 8, 1970 in the Hutchinson Utilities billing office.
All Commissioners were present.
The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved as read.
Motion was made, seconded and unanimously carried to send two linemen
to a school in Wadena, Minnesota for two days.
Motion was made by Commissioner Filk, seconded by Commissioner
Tracy to employee H. Stephen Wacker of Wilton Junction, Iowa as
Assistant Manager at a salary of $835.00 per month effective
July 1, 1970. It was also authorized to issue a PurebaseOrder
allowing Mr. Wacker "s moving expenses from Iowa to 540 Larson
Street, Hutchinson, Minnesota.
Authorization was given to the Manager and any Commissioner
being able to attend the following two meetings:
Natural Gas Division Meeting - -Cedar Falls, Iowa
June 16th and June 17th.
League of Minn. Municipalities --Moorhead, Minnesota
June 20, 21,22nd and 23rd.
The Commission reviewed the wages of the Natural Gas Division
employees, and it was decided to take up the subject of raises
at the July meeting.
Underground services, both Commercial and Residential, were
discussed and it was decided to continue with the present
policy; this being that the Utilities install underground
to a residence for a charge of $100 per lot after customer
has properly executed an Underground Service Agreement, and,
that the Commercial will be the same as in the past with the
Commission paging towards underground the cost of overhead
services.

July 13, 1970•
The regular meeting of the Hutchinson Utilities Commission
was held on July 13, 1970 in the Hutchinson Utilities billing
office.
All Commissioners were present; also William Rslick, Steve
Wacker and W. Reyerson, attorney for the Commission.
The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved as read.
After a review of the wages for Gas Division employees, motion
was made, seconded and unani -ously carried to allow the following
increases effective Jlal -r 1, 1970:
Ivan Larson $38.50 (5% increase)
Wayne 5chwarze $34.00 (5% increase)
George Nelson $30.50 (5% increase)
It was decided to study wages again in one ,year. (July 1971)
Motion was made, seconded and unanimously carried to increase
the monthly salary of William Eslick $50.00 per monthq effective
July 19 1970.
Motion was m-�de, seconded and carried to purchase a fuel storage
tank.
The Secretary was instructed to inform the engineering firm of
.Associated Consultants to {draw up specifications for a 300,000,
400,000 or 500,000 gallon fuel tan's.
