Regular Meeting
April 12, 1971
The monthly meeting of the Hutchinson Utilities Commission was
held on April 12, 1971 at two o'clock P. M. in the Hutchinson
Utilities meeting place.
All Commissioners were present; also Steve Wacker and William
Eslick.
One bid was received in response to the notice for bids for two
circuit breakers. The Presir'ent instructed the Secretary to
open the bid. Motion was made by Commissioner Filk, seconded
by Commissioner Tracy and unanimously carried to accept the bid
belonging to E. A. Pederson Company, Inc., 1049 South Twentieth
Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68108, in the a ount of $9,890.00.
Motion was made by Commissioner Filk, seconded by Commissioner
Tracy to have the old well(south side of tracks) repaired
by the Fredericksonts Ind., Hutchinson, Minnesota.
Motion was made by Commissioner Tracy, seconded by Commissioner
Filk and unanimously carried to accept the new holiday schedule
which has been passed by the State of Minnesota.(M.S. 1969,
Chapter 645.44, Subd. 5, enacted at the 1969 session, effective
on 1- 1 -71.)
1. New Years, January 1.
2. Washington and Lincoln Birthdays, -3rd Monday Feb.
3. Memorial Day, - last Monday in May.
4. Independence Day, - July 4th.
5. Labor Day, - first Monday in September.
6. Christopher Columbus Day, - second Monday in Oct.
7. Veterans' Day, - fourth Monday in October.
B. Thanksgiving Day, - fourth Thursday in November.
9. Christmas Day,- December 25th.
Motion was made by Commissioner Tracy, seconded by Commissioner
Filk and unanimously carried to send employeets of the line
(distribution) department to Wadena, Minnesota for schooling
on underground construction.

Motion was made by Commissioner Tracq, seconded by Commissioner
Filk and unanimously carried to accept the attached letter of
agreement with Worthington Compressor & Engine International. A
�alance of $10,000 is to be released after all commitments have
been met.
