April 4, 1972.
A special meeting of the Hutchinson Utilities Commission was
held on April 4, 1972 at 10:00 A. M. in the Hutchinson
Utilities meeting place.
All Commissioners were present; also R. E. Young, Manager,
and H. Steve Wacker, assistant Manager.
The meeting was called to order by President Quade for the
purpose of reorganizing the Commission.
Motion was made by Commissioner Tracy, seconded by Commissioner
Filk, and unanimously carried to reappoint Commissioner Quade
as President of the Commission.
Motion was made by Commissioner Quade, seconded by Commissioner
Tracy, to appoint H. W. Filk as Vice - President of the Commission.
Motion was made by Commissioner Filk, seconded by Commissioner
Quade, to appoint Commissioner Tracy Secretary of the Commission
at a monthly compensation of $100.00 per month.
R. E. Young's retirement was discussed and it was decided to
draft a letter of information to all employees advising that
effective April 1, 1972 H. Steve Wacker would take over the
duties and responsibilities of General Manager of the Hutchinson
Utilities Commission. Mr. Young would be retained in an
advisory and consultant's capacity until July 1, 1972.
Mr. Young is entitled to a one month's paid vacation to be taken
anytime between April- 1 and July 1, 1972.
The Secretary was informed to send a copy of minutes to each.
Commissioner and General Manager within two days after a
meeting.
There being no further business, Commission Filk moved that the
meeting be adjourned (11:05 A. M. ) . Motion was seconded by
Commissioner Tracy and unanimously carried.
