REGULAR MEETING
September 11, 1972.
The monthly meeting of the Hutchinson Utilities Commission was held
on September 11, 1972 at 2 :00 PM in the Hutchinson Utilities
meeting place.
All Commissioners were present; also Manager Wacker, Richard A.
Peterson and Roger Gilmer, attorneys for the Commission, Harold .-,.
Grams, Howard Madsen, Rufus Mikulecky and George Totushek.
The meeting was called to order by President Quade at 2 PM.
Insurance bids were received from the Citizens Insurance Agency,
and State Farm Insurance. Bids were opened, read and tabled
for evaluation.
Manager Wacker gave areport on the Worthington Units No. 3 and No.
4, the General Electric Unit No. 8; also an outage schedule and the
present financial condition of the Utilities.
,attorney Roger Gilmer reported his findings on a study he made on
the type of agreement Northern States Power Company uses in
conjunction with cable TV franc ise holders. This covers the users
of utility poles for cable lines, etc. He was insttucted to
draw up an agreement with Hutchinson} Telephone Company regarding
usage of our poles for telephone lines.

Motion was made by Commissioner Tracy, seconded b Commissioner
Filk and unanimously carried to allow payment of 1000.00.
After deliberation on the insurance bids, a motion was made by
Commissioner Filk, seconded by CommissionerTracy, and unanimously
carried to award covera e under Item 1A, $19000.00 deductible on
Building and Contents (18,970.00), and Item 2, Comprehensive Gen.
Liability ($6,737.00) to the Citizens Insurance Agency; Item No. 3,
Fleet Vehicles ($1,489.00) to the Hutchinson Insurance Company.
Motion was made by Commissioner Filk, seconded by Commissioner
Tracy, and unanimously carried to send a letter to the City of
Hutchinson stating the intent of the Commission to contribute
$200,000.00 in the fiscal year 1973 -74,.
Minutes of tre* AZamust 9th Special Meeting were read. Motion was
made by Commissioner Filk, seconded by Commissioner Tracy, and
unanimously carried to arprove the minutes as read.
Minutes of the August 14 Regular Meeting were read. Motion was
made by Commissioner Quade, seconded b ,,r Commissioner Tracy, and
unanimously carried to approve the minutes as read.
Mi -nutes of the August 18 Special Meeting were read. Motion was
made by Commissioner Filk, seconded by Commissioner Tracy, and
unanimously carried to approve the minutes as read.
