SPECIAL MEETING
September 22, 1972.
A special meeting of the Hutchinson Utilities Commission was held on
September 22, 1972 at 10:45 AM in the Hutchinson Utilities meeting place.
All Commissioners were present; also Manager Steve Wacker.
The meeting was called to order by President Quade at 10 :45 AM.
Manager Wacker presented the existing problems concerning power lines
and consumers inside and outside the city limits of Hutchinson owned by
the McLeod County Co- operative Power Association.
An informal meeting was then held with members of the McLeod County Coop-
erative Power Association relative to the above item. It was agreed that
the McLeod County Co- operative Power Association and Hutchinson Utilities
would each secure the services of an engineering firm who would work
together with the respective managers for solution to the problems.
Motion was made by Commissioner Filk, seconded by Commissioner Tracy,
and unanimously carried that Associate Consultants be engaged for the
above named purpose.
Motion was made by Commissioner Filk, seconded by Commissioner Tracy, and
unanimously carried to buy power from McLeod County Co- operative Power
Association for our Peak - Shaving Plant on a temporary basis.
Motion was made by Commissioner Tracy, seconded by Commissioner Filk,
and unanimously carried to adjourn at 1:30 P.M.
