10-10-1972 HUCMK-2 REGULAR MEETING Oct. 10, 1972 The regular monthly meeting of the Hutchinson Utilities Commission was held on Tuesday, October 10, 1972 at 2 P.M. in the Hutchinson Utilities meeting place. All Commissioners were present; also Manager Steve Wacker. Meeting was called to order by President Quade. Minutes of the September 11, 1972 meeting were read and on motion by Commissioner Filk, seconded by Commissioner Tracy, and unanimously carried were approved as read. Minutes of the special meeting on September 22, 1972 were read and on motion by Commissioner Filk, seconded by Commissioner Tracy, and un- animously carried were approved as read. Manager Wacker presented the contracts drawn up by our attorneys cover- ing Cable TV and Telephone Company users of our poles in conjunction with their respective business. Motion was made by Commissioner Tracy, seconded by Commissioner Filk and unanimously carried that pole charges will be ,$2.00 for the Hutchinson Telephone Company and $3.50 for the Cable TV Company and, further, the Telephone Company will not be required to furnish a licensing fee or surety , bond. Contracts to be effective January 1, 1973. Motion was made by Commissioner Filk, seconded by Commissioner Tracy, and unanimously carried that the Electric Plant and Natural Gas Division make a charge of $1.00 collection fee for delinquent users and $2.00 for a connection fee. Manager Wacker gave a report on the Worthington Units #3 and #4• A representative from Allis Chalmers is due in Hutchinson on October 113 1972 to analyze the generator breakdowns. Motion was made by Commissioner Filk, seconded by Commissioner Tracy, and unanimously carried to pay Energy Systems, Inc. Estimate No. 1 in the amount of $10,080.00 and Estimate No. 2 in the amount of $35,560.08. Discussion was held on radio and newspaper promotion concerning serv- ices.
