12-11-1972 HUCM1 95. REGULAR MFETTNG Dec. 11, 197?. The regular meetin- of the uijtchinson TTt l..ti.p^ Commission *aas held on December 11, 197? in the Hutchinson Utilities meeting place at 2 P.M. All Commissioners were present; also Manager Steve Wacker. Meeting was called to order by President Quade at 2 P.M. Minutes of the November 20 meeting and the special meeting on December 4 were read and approved. Manager Wacker reported on the six month's Audit and presented the financial report. Motion was made by Commissioner Tracy, seconded by Commissioner Filk, and un- animously carried to revise the Blue Cross -Blue Shield insurance program for more coverage as proposed. Motion was made by Commissioner Filk, seconded by Commissioner Tracy, and unanimously carried to accept the proposal extended by Western National Mutual Insurance Company to cover the steam turbine and generator. Motion was made by Commissioner Filk, seconded by Commissioner Tracy, and unanimously carried to renew the fuel oil contract with Standard Oil Company at 12.8 rents per ffallon. Manager Wacker reported that Unit No. 8 will be on the line Dec. 12 with General Electric running a fuel test on the following day. A general discussion was held on the rate structure of the Utilities with the possible addition of a fuel escalation clause. After discussion, a motion was made by Commissioner Filk, seconded by Com- missioner Tracy, and unanimously carried to defer action on joining an Area Muni ci..ral FTPctric Assoriati on which has been under consi.derat-i.on.
