05-07-1973 HUCML REGULAR MEETING May 7, 1973 A regular meeting of the Hutchinson Utilities Commission was held on May 7, 1973 in the Hutchinson Utilities meeting place at 2:00 P.M. All Commissioners were present; also Manager Steve Wacker and Superintendent Orville Kuiken. The meeting was called to order by President Quade. One bid was received for gas pipe. The Secretary was instructed to open the bid received from Crane Supply Company. Motion was made by Commissioner Filk, seconded by Commissioner Tracy, and unanimously carried to accept the bid in the amount of $7,563.00, less 2%. Discussion was held relative to fuel, alternates were considered; however, no action was taken. Manager Wacker gave a report on the progress of the turbine repair work. Manager Wacker discussed combined billing of gas and electric accounts. No objections. Manager Wacker informed the Commission that the Electric Division was in need of new trucks. Motion was made by Commissioner Filk, seconded by Commissioner Tracy, and unanimously carried to call for bids as per specifications on file in the office. Bids to be opened June 11, 1973 in the Hutchinson Utilities meeting place at 2:00 P.M. Minutes of the regular meeting, April 9, 1973, were read and approved as read. Minutes of the special meeting, April 23, 1973, were read and approved as read.
