01-14-1974 HUCMQ() REGULAR MEETING January 14, 1974 A regular meeting of the Hutchinson Utilities Commission was held on January 14, 1974, in the Hutchinson Utilities meeting place at 2:00 PM. All Commissioners were present; also Manager Steve Wacker and Counsel Gilmer and Peterson. The minutes of the December 10, 1973 meeting were read and ap- proved as read. Counsel Gilmer reported on the complaint to be filed against the Worthington Corporation and all. More study and work will be necessary to complete the complaint,. Counsel Peterson presented his view on the pay schedule pre - taining to the Worthington case. This amount would be up and above the general retaining fee of $1,500.00 per year. All expenses incurred will be billed to the Utilities on a monthly basis. After discussion about joining with Circle Pines on a group billing program with Northern Natural Gas to better utilize gas usage, a motion was made by Commissioner Filk, seconded by Commissioner Tracy and unanimously carried to enter into an agreement with Circle Pines to purchase Natural Gas on a group billing program with Hutchinson Utilities. This will be pre- sented to Northern Natural Gas for their consideration. Motion was made by Commissioner Tracy, seconded by Commissioner Filk and unanimously carried to send employees to the Municipal Utilities Workshop in Minneapolis held February 4, thru February 8, 1974. As all work has been completed on the Peak - Shaving Plant, recom- mendation was made by Pfeifer and Shultz, Consulting Engineers, to issue a check in the amount of $13,630 representing final payment. A motion was made by Commissioner Tracy, seconded by Commissioner Filk and unanimously carried to accept the recom- mendation.
