05-13-1974 HUCM78 Regular Meeting May 13, 1974 The regular meeting of the Hutchinson Utilities Commission was held on May 13, 1974 in the Hutchinson Utilities meeting place at 2:00 P.M. All Commissioners were present; also Manager Steve Wacker, Counsel Peterson and Superintendent Kuiken. The meeting was called to order by President Quade. Minutes of the regular meeting of April 8, 1974 were read and approved as read. Minutes of the special meeting of April 11, 1974 were read and approved as read. Minutes of the special meeting of April 15, 1974 were read and approved as read. The monthly financial report was presented by Manager Wacker. Counsel Peterson submitted final information regarding the purchase of a building and property. Checks were issued in accordance with the attached schedule. Manager Wacker and Superintendent Kuiken presented a program on telemetering. The program, as presented, was endorsed by the Commissioners. A plan regarding the reconstruction of the sewer system in the generating plant was presented by Manager Wacker. Manager Wacker discussed the need for a downtown pay station in the future. After considerable discussion, it was decided that one or more stations would be set up as needed. Motion was made by Commissioner Filk, seconded by Commissioner Tracy and unanimously carried to send an employee to Memphis, Tennessee on June 12, 13 and 14, 1974 to attend a natural gas workshop sponsored by the American Public Gas Association.
