10-16-1974 HUCM/ oS Regular Meeting October 16, 1974 All Commissioners present; also Manager Wacker. Meeting called to order by President Quade at 2:00 P.M. Minutes of the regular meeting of September 9, 1974 were read and corrected. Correction - On motion for feasibility study on Data Processing for the Utilities; $3,000.00 to prorated. Minutes of the special meeting of September 20, 1974 were read and approved as read. Minutes of the special meeting of September 30, 1974 were read and approved as read. Minutes of the special meeting of October 3, 1974 were read and approved as read. Discussion was held on the sale of the Utilities Gas Warehouse. The firm of Brad -West of Hutchinson, MN. submitted a proposal of $70.000.00. On a motion by Commissioner Tracy seconded by Commissioner Filk the Commission set the sale price at 75,000.00. Motion by Commissioner Filk seconded by Commissioner Tracy and carried to set up specification for an 8 cyl. full size automobile equipped with air conditioning, and other power equipment. To be advertised for bids at an early date. Motion by Commissioner Tracy seconded by Commissioner Filk carried to send representives from Hutchinson Utilities to the Minnesota Municipal Utilities Association in Minneapolis, MN, October 17 - 18, 1974. Certified check $210.00, Ford Custom 500, trade 1963 Pontiac. $4,100.00 Crow River Motors Cashier's check $225.00, Plymouth Gran Fury, trade 1963 Pontiac. $4,4o8.00 Wigen Chevrolet Certified check $208.40, Chevrolet Bel Air, trade 1963 Pontiac. $4,168.00 Moehring Motors Certified check $300.00 Pontiac Catalina, trade 1963 Pontiac. $4,165.00 Motion by Commissioner Filk, seconded by Commissioner Tracy and carried to accept Plowman's Inc. bid of $4,100.00 trade and return checks to the unsuccessful bidders. After reviewing the progress report of our attorneys on the legal action against Worthington Corporation and Allis Chalmers, and their appraisal that the'total legal fees involved should not exceed $50,000,000, a motion was made by Commissioner Filk, seconded by Commissioner Tracy and carried to continue the action.
