05-12-1975 HUCM�3 S Regular Meeting May 12, 1975 All Commissioners were present, Manager Wacker, Don Swanson and Bob Palmquist of Associated Consultants and Don Krasen of Krasen Plumbing and Heating. Meeting was called to order at 2 P.M. by President Quade. Minutes of the Regular Meeting of April 14, 1975 were read and approved as read. Minutes of the Special Meeting of May 6, 1975 were read and approved as read. Don Krasen was'.present with a question concerning an item in the Plumbing Contract at the new service center. The item in question was on trenches which Krasen felt the General Contractor should have constructed. Robert Palmquist, of Associated Consultants, reviewed the specifications relative to this item. After discussion, the Commission felt that the question should be settled between Krasen Plumbing and Heating and Associated Consultants. Motion was made by Commissioner Filk, seconded by Commissioner Tracy and carried to pay the following: Peterson & Gilmer Re: Cox's billing in the amount of $1,875.16. Peterson & Gilmer Re: March Services in the amount of $315.4o. Peterson & Gilmer Re: April Services in the amount of $935.50. Oppenheimer, Wolff Re: February Services in the amount of $3,590.91. Oppenheimer, Wolff Re: March Services in the amount of $2,011.01. Motion was made by Commissioner Filk, seconded by Commissioner Tracy and carried to pay Associated Consultants $5,000.00 as final payment for Engineering Services in connection with the combined cycle gas turbine. Motion was made by Commissioner Filk, seconded by Commissioner Tracy and carried to pay Associated Consultants in the amount of $4,973.50 for a Growth Report of the Hutchinson Utilities Commission. I. 1 /3 9 Motion was made by Commissioner Filk, seconded by Commissioner Tracy and carried to pay the following: Krasen Plumbing and Heating Company, Inc. in the amount of $3,406.50 for Estimate #5• A & B Electric in the amount of $18,509.50 for estimate #3. Dammann Construction in the amount of $9,157.70 for Estimate #4. Motion was made by Commissioner Filk, seconded by Commissioner Tracy and carried to reject the General El -ectric Service Contract as per letter from Peterson and Gilmer dated April 15, 1975, with instruction to Manager Wacker to contact General Electric relative to a more clarified contract. Don Swanson, Associated Consultants, reviewed his contact meetings with U.P.A. regarding their (U.P.A.'s) ability to furnish firm power or to buy power from Hutdlainson Utilities, should we install more generating capacity. Manager Wacker reported on a contact with 3M concerning the use of steam that may be furnished by Hutchinson Utilities in the future. Manager Wacker presented the new Regulations Schedule for the Electric and Gas Divisions. Motion was made by Commissioner Filk, seconded by Commissioner Tracy and carried to adopt the above schedule as presented. (copy attached) Manager Wacker presented a report on Data Processing. Progress is being made according to plans. Manager Wacker presented a notice from Int. Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local #949, Minneapolis, Minnesota for a meeting to be held Tuesday, May 20, 1975. A request has been made to move the meeting date to May 27, 1975- Motion was made by Commissioner Tracy, seconded by Commissioner Filk and carried to allow the charge -off of delinquent accounts as per list.
