Regular Meeting
June 16, 1975
All Commissioners were present; also Mgr. Wacker, Don Swanson of
Associated Consultants and Counsel Peterson.
President Quade called the meeting to order at 2 P.M.
Minutes of the Regular Meeting of May 12, 1975, were read and approved
as read. Minutes of the Special Meeting of June 10, 1975, were
read and approved as read.
Motion made by Filk, seconded by Tracy, carried, to allow the
following bills as approved by Associated Consultants:

Motion made by Filk, seconded by Tracy, carried, to pay the follow-
ing bills:

Donald Swanson of Associated Consultants presented a report on
Peaking Power and Energy. Attached is a copy of the proposed con-
tract and schedule.
After discussion a motion was made by Tracy, seconded by Filk,
carried, to instruct Associated Consultants and a representative
of the Hutchinson Utilities to negotiate a final draft of a con-
tract with U.P.A. for their purchase of excess kilowatts at such
time we expand our generation capacity.
Motion made by Filk, seconded by Tracy, carried, to instruct
Associated Consultants to proceed with plans and specifications
on a combustion Turbine Generating Unit and associated electrical
facilities.
Mr. Wacker reported that insurance paid $73,447.28 of the total
$75,322.42 bill caused by the Cooling Tower fire.
Motion made by Filk, to purchase gasoline on a coop basis with
School District 4423 and other City units. In discussion it was
felt that we should continue as we have done in the past. Motion
failed for a lack of a second.

member of the Commission and the Manager to attend the MMUA
meeting at Hibbing, Minn., on the 19th through the 21st of June
1975.
