10-13-1975 HUCMRegular Meeting October 13, 1975 All Commissioners were present, also Mgr. Wacker, Counsel Gilmer, and Don Schimp of the Hutchinson Utilities. The meeting was called to order by President Quade at 2 p.m. Commissioner Filk presented the proposed agreement between the "Union" and the Hutchinson Utilities. The motion was made by Commissioner Filk, seconded by Commissioner Tracy, and passed, to accept the agree- ment in its entirety for the period July 1, 1975, to July 1, 1976. (Copy attached) Minutes of the Special Meeting of September 5, 1975, were read and approved as read. Minutes of the Regular Meeting of September 10, 1975, were read and approved as read. A motion was made by Commissioner Filk, seconded by Commissioner Tracy, and carried, to allow the following bills: Associated Consultaats $ 8,260.75 Peterson & Gilmer 173.66 City of Hutchinson (insurance) 11,241.69 On a motion by Commissioner Filk, seconded by Commissioner Tracy, and carried, it was decided to send Don Schimp to Milwaukee, Wis., to attend a school on Diesel Electric Power Plant - Maintenance and Operation being held from November 17 721, 1975. Cost of the course is $325.00. The meeting adjourned at 2:30 p.m. and reconvened at 3 p.m. for the "Bid" opening. Additional persons who attended are as follows: Bob Palmquist, Dave Schmidt, and Don Swanson of Associated Consultants; Edwin Olson and Dale Stephenson of Westinghouse; Bob Wise and Chuck Nelson of G. E.; Charles Lauderbach of Curtiss - Wright; Doug Glass and J. R. Berendes of Henry Vogt; Art Champagne of TPM; Virgil Haugen of Electric Machinery; and Ivan Larson of Hutchinson Utilities; Bob Palmquist of Associated Consultants opened and gave basic infor- mation on each bid; the bidders were as follows: 1s t - - -- T P M 2nd - - - -GE 3rd - - -- Westinghouse 4th - - -- Curtiss-Wright C] 1 Associated Consultants were instructed to tabulate bids and re- port back to the Commission at 1:30 p.m., October 16, 1975. A Special Meeting concerning the Worthington lawsuit was set for 10 a.m., Wednesday, October 15, 1975.
