IV. Old Business
A.Tours- Julie reported that the next trip is this week to the Plymouth Playhouse to
see “The Marvelous Wonderettes”. The tour will include 31 participants. An
th
upcoming trip to Willmar on April 7 has 28 registered, and the Buddy Holly tour
is already at 35 and counting. So far Julie has not seen any significant increases
from the bus lines and she has been happy with their service. With rising fuel
prices, travel costs may rise for our tours.
B.Update on Programs- September reported that the history program on fur trading
was well attended with 70 people. This would be a good event to have again if
more opportunities arise. Travel at a Glance took a look at man-made creations this
past month. Next month it will be nature’s turn as the group looks at natural
creations. “The Rabbit-Proof Fence” went over well as the March movie. In April
there will be another chance to see a serious, thought-provoking movie called “The
Boy in the Striped Pajamas”. The Fellowship Dinner is tonight and registration is a
little slower than normal. The special event called “A Night to Remember” has not
th
had much of a response so far and may be cancelled. It was scheduled for April 9.
th
The volunteer appreciation luncheon is scheduled for Thursday, April 14. It will
include a continental breakfast and is scheduled for 10:00a. This year’s gift will be
th
a ticket to the Sweet Adelines concert being held on April 16. Bone Builders
continues to do well.
V.Business
A.Air Pump Coffee Pots- September reported that the coffee pots have been
purchased and are working out well. Members got to see one of the pots during
the meeting. These pots will be used strictly for Senior Center events and will
not be available to Event Center activities.
B.Tax Preparer- An additional person is helping on Wednesdays doing tax
preparations. Everything seems to be going smoothly so far with this program.

on an appropriate size for this fixture. The board recommended that the new
refrigerator be slightly larger than the current one.September took that
recommendation and will make the purchase.
