09-01-1999 HUCMSPECIAL COMMISSION MEETING
September 1, 1999
Members present: Secretary Paul Ackland; Commissioner David Wetterling;
Commissioner Craig Lenz; General Manger Clarence Kadrmas.
Secretary Ackland opened the meeting at 9:12 a.m.
Secretary Ackland inquired if the media was informed of this special meeting. It
was confirmed that indeed they had been informed.
Commissioner Craig Lenz made a motion to approve the recommendation of
architect Korngiebel to accept the bid from Nelson Construction electing not to do
either of the alternates leaving the price of the bid at $1,502,900. Seconded by
Commissioner Wetterling the motion carried unanimously.
Manager Kadrmas reported that Dan Prochnow has elected to not pursue
litigation against Jay Brothers because of the lapse in time and the loss of a key
witness.
Secretary Ackland made a motion to adjourn seconded by Commissioner
Wetterling, the motion carried.
