Other Discussions/ New Business a) Hangar doors. There are some hangar walk -in doors, particularly on the bi -fold doors recently repaired, that have experienced enough deterioration that they are not property affixing to the door hinge. In addition, Commissioners recommended that staff consider installation of chain stops on the hangar doors to prevent future damage to the door skins by keeping the walk -in doors from opening more than a 90° angle. b) LED lighting. Since utility costs represent about 1/3 of the total airport budget, Commissioners began working on evaluating whether the installation of LED lighting is feasible. One consideration brought up relates to the use of night- vision goggles. Many of the night- vision goggles in use at this time are unable to detect LED lights. Therefore, any discussion of LED lighting will need to include coordination with Life Link III /Air Methods. At 6:25, a motion to adjourn was made by Peterson, second by Freeman. Unanimous approval. NEXT MEETING: Regularly scheduled meeting: 01/19/12.
